life as a gardener started for sara when she was just a kid, with her dad, when they would plant beefsteak tomatoes in their garden on the jersey shore. from those tender beginnings a lifelong career has been created. in addition to studying landscape design at new york botanical garden, sara has an mpa in environmental management from new york university. her experience stretches from working with the epa’s energy star buildings program to designing sustainable landscapes and greenroofs.
sara has been published in vogue, new york magazine, harper’s bazaar and other well-known publications. she has authored “greenworks, tender loving care for plants”, published by macmillan, selling over 190,000 copies and served as editor for h2o highlands to ocean, the geraldine r. dodge foundation.
arriving at blondie’s in 2011, sara brings a vast wealth of knowledge and in depth experience on a range of urban landscape specialties from green roof systems for commercial and residential applications to high end residential and cooperative gardens.
