Blondie’s Treehouse actively participates in community outreach programs centered on sustainability, promoting knowledge and encouraging practices that strengthen our connection to nature. Sharing our expertise and passion for environmental stewardship, we aim to inspire others to embrace sustainable practices in both commercial and residential settings. Our dedication to renewable design and client education reflects our commitment and nurtures a culture of environmental awareness, inspiring others to make mindful, sustainable choices.
Recently, Blondie’s completed the exterior terraces and interior plantings for an Investment Management Firm’s US headquarters located in midtown Manhattan.
On the 10th-floor terrace, nestled among a thriving vegetable and herb garden, we had the pleasure of leading a hands-on workshop for the Garden Club. With the city skyline as our backdrop, we guided participants through the season’s final harvest, gathering a vibrant selection of kale, Swiss chard, red cabbage, and fresh herbs. All produce was shared with the in-house Chef, who transformed it into a culinary experience for an upcoming cooking class, celebrating the garden’s bounty.
With the harvest complete, we turned our attention to winterizing the garden beds. Together, we prepared the soil for colder days ahead, enriching it with a compost-rich amendment to protect and nourish the garden through winter’s rest.
Coming up next in November: The Garden Club will gather once more on the terrace to plant bulbs that will bring bursts of color to the space in spring, continuing the terrace’s cycle of growth and beauty year-round.
