Summer officially kicked off in the Northern Hemisphere on June 21 at 5:14 a.m.
With the Summer Solstice the Northern Hemisphere receives sunlight at the most direct angle of the year, and with this, our gardens take notice. The abundance of nature can be felt in the spectrum of colors that our gardens are producing. Now is the time to press pause and go enjoy our gardens. As we stand there taking notice, we feel the buzz of the bees gathering nectar, the wind moving through the foliage and all of the many plants reaching and stretching to their fullest expression. It is important to remember that this is a moment we wait for all year long, and now that it is here, let’s make sure we create the time to enjoy it.
